The Amalfi Coast
We chose to drive the entire 50 miles to see the coast and saw one breathtaking sight after another. The Coasta Amalfitana is considered the most beautiful coast in Italy. Do you see the size of those lemons? They would make for some great pie! There were several stands along the coast to stop and purchase lemons and various other items. The coast was covered in lemons!! 
Capri
Capri is a beautiful island outside of Naples. We took every mode of transportation that day to see it and it was quite an adventure. Once in Capri, we took a boat tour around the island where we saw rugged cliffs, limestone caves, tiny sand beaches, and pretty towns all framed by a brilliant sea. The last picture is of the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) where reflected light from the water illuminates the cave. BREATHTAKING!! Troy wished he had brought his diving gear!
Pompeii, Napoli
Pompeii was fascinating!! It is descibed in tour books as Rome's finest legacy, trapped in time under volcanic mud and ash. Today, Pompeii is the most complete and exciting ancient city in the world.
Mt Vesuvius, Naples
This was our first stop for Spring Break in Naples. Mt Vesuvius is an active volcano and first blew its top in AD 79 and it deeply buried Pompeii and Herculaneum. We drove up as far as we could and then hiked the remaining 600 meters. The crater is 200 meters deep and 600 meters wide.
Dana and Becky
These are my amazing friends, Dana and Becky. We moved to Italy in December 2004 right after Christmas and Troy left for Afghanistan 7 weeks later. I did not have a single friend when he left and I met Dana and Becky at Dana's daughter's birthday party (Tori was invited) and we became friends. These ladies got me through that deployment and I will never be able to thank them enough!!! I cried on their shoulders, spent holidays with them, and went on vaction with them. I was always included in their plans. Becky's husband, Matt Ghiz, didn't have to go to Afghanistan and Dana and I used him on more than one occassion. "The Ghiz", as I like to call him, hung pictures, changed light bulbs, and was always there when my kids needed some "dad time". Dana's husband, Allen, did go to Afghanistan and was gone for 365 days. I will never forget his homecoming! Thank you, Becky and Dana! I will NEVER forget you!!!
The Jungle Book
Taylor was in the Wolf Pack in the Missoula's production of The Jungle Book done in our community. The Missoula's Children's Theater is based in Missoula, Montana. Tour teams of 2 are sent all over the world including the 50 states. The kids auditioned for this show on Monday and the performance was on Saturday, it was amazing what they learned in one week!!
Army KID Strong Day
This was a special day at school where Army kids were shown what the people in the Army do. There were tents set up including how the soldiers get their food, an MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) sampling site, a night vision goggle demonstration, a medical demonstration on how hurt soldiers are taken care of, a Military Working Dog demonstration, and a jump tower for the older kids and adults. There were special music performances done by all of the grades. All of the children grades K-12 were given t-shirts and dog tags.
2 More Lost Teeth!
Tori's teeth were just falling out like crazy! She lost one in the bathtub and then another a few hours later in bed! The tooth fairy gave her 2 Euros that night!!!
All Dressed Up
The girls are all ready for church. Taylor did Tori's hair and picked out her outfit.

Happy Birthday Tristin!!!
Today is Tristin's 12th birthday!! The girls made her a hat and gave her LOTS of treats! Lexi came over to celebrate too!!!
